What’s Your Question?

Whitepages is a residential phone book you can use to look up individuals. You can search several different ways, depending on what information you have available to enter in the site’s search bar. The original format for Whitepages was a printed directory, but the internet is more frequently used today.

If you’re looking at a printed residential white pages directory, the names are in alphabetical order, with the last name shown first. Turn to the alphabetical section labeled with the first letter of the last name. Browse through the list of names until you find the correct last name. Then, look for the first name. When you find the name of the person or family you’re seeking, you can follow the line across the page to see the street address and then the phone number.

To search Whitepages residential listings by name online, go to the main Whitepages web page. The search tool’s default setting is “Person” so that you can enter the name. The results you get may also include some misspelled variations of the name you entered. You may see results from all around the country based on a name search. If you need to narrow the search to include only a certain state, click “Show Filters” and the drop-down list lets you choose only the people who have the chosen name in the selected ____ orientation a page is taller than it

If the phone number is the only information you have available to use when looking up residential telephone numbers, Whitepages has a search function that simplifies the search. Select the “Phone” option and enter the number. It isn’t necessary to add the parenthesis or dash symbols, although the search still functions if you do enter those details. If the number is unlisted or a cellular phone, there may not be much information available unless you choose to pay for the full report the site offers.

If the address is the only information you have available when searching the white residential pages, click the “Reverse Address” icon and enter the street address, city, state and ZIP code information. If you don’t have all of the information requested, you can still search, although the results may be limited if there is information missing.

Businesses using the Whitepages residential code book to look up information, the Whitepages company suggests the Whitepages Pro service. This service is designed for any use that’s business related. Tasks such as creating mailing lists and reviewing the material on a job applicant’s resume are two examples of commercial use. Collection agencies and skip tracing services are also asked to use the commercial portion of Whitepages Pro to complete tasks associated with finding people.

10. Design Controls – 21 CFR 820.30

in ____ orientation a page is taller than it

From June 1, 1997 through May 31, 1998, all GMP inspections of medical device manufacturers will include an assessment of the firm’s design controls utilizing the Design Control Inspectional Strategy (DCIS) included in CP7382.830 Attachment F (also available electronically on CDRH’s home page and the Banyan Bulletin Board under DFI Live, Medical Device Reference Materials.) This strategy constitutes the method of conducting an inspection of design controls.

For this first year, a transition period for design controls, no observation relative to design controls (or changes or software – see Moratorium memo dated June 6, 1997, Attachment B) will be included on the FDA 483 or used to support any regulatory action. If the design of a device is found to be unsafe or ineffective for its intended use, FDA can take action under other sections (non-GMP) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).

Observations relative to design control requirements, changes and software will be recorded on the DCIS report. The DCIS report will become part of the firm’s EIR and will be available under Freedom of Information (FOI). Portions of the report may be purged to protect confidential and trade secret information. Therefore, it is important for the Investigator to identify which portions of the DCIS report the manufacturer considers confidential to assist the agency in its FOI determinations.

Do not collect documents or records, during the transition year (June 1, 1997 – May 31, 1998) to document areas in need of improvement that are included on the DCIS report. Do not collect documents or records merely to assist you in writing the DCIS report. You will need to take good notes to assist you with this task or write the responses, etc. directly onto the automated report. Exception is the general design control planning procedure, if available, as noted on the Design Control Inspectional Strategy.

The listed Areas in Need of Improvement should be written in the same manner required for an FDA 483 observation.

You are probably familiar with margins, or the empty space between the text and the left, right, top, and bottom edges of a printed page. The default margins for a report are .25 inches at the top, bottom, left, and right. This lesson will go over how to adjust the margins of your report. You will also learn how to change the page orientation.

There are many reasons to change a report’s margins:

Here, you have a few choices for margin size: Normal, Wide, or Narrow (the default choice).

If you want to fine-tune the margin size, click the Page Setup button on the Page Setup tab, click the Print Options tab, and enter the exact top, bottom, left, and right margin sizes you want to use.

Everything you print uses one of two different types of paper orientations: portrait and landscape. In Portrait orientation (the default for Access reports), the paper is taller than it is wide. In Landscape orientation, the paper is wider than it is ____ orientation a page is taller than it

You can also change the size of the page from the default Letter size. Click the Size button in the Page Size group and select a size.

    The page’s orientation changes.

It’s always a good idea to preview your report to see how it’ll appear once it’s printed.

You can also print preview a report by clicking the Home tab on the ribbon, clicking the View button list arrow in the View group, and selecting Print Preview. Or, click the Print Preview button on the Status bar.

Access displays the report as it will look when printed.

Margins are the empty space between the worksheet data and the left, right, top, and bottom edges of the printed page. You can manually adjust them to add more or less space around your worksheet data.

By default, the margins are 0.75 inches at the top and bottom, and 0.70 inches to the left and right.

If you don’t see a margin size that works, select Custom Margins to display the Page Setup dialog box. Here you can set your own custom margins.

Portrait orientation is the default setting for printing worksheets, but you may want to use landscape orientation instead.

The two most common types of orientation are portrait and landscape.

Portrait – denoting a format of printed matter which is higher than it is wide.

Landscape – denoting a format of printed matter which is wider than it is high.

So, printing orientation that is wider than it is taller is landscape.

Hence, ‘landscape’ is the correct answer.
